Our Story

Founded in 2025, the Forest City Rainbow Chorus is Rockford, Illinois’ queer chorus, bringing together voices from across the community to celebrate diversity, equality, and the power of music. Our debut performance took place at the Back Alley Pride Party during Rockford’s annual Pride festival, where we shared songs of joy, resilience, and unity. We are committed to creating an inclusive, affirming, and accessible space where singers of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities can make music together, while inspiring audiences with performances that reflect the beauty, strength, and diversity of our LGBTQIA+ community.
